Sanitation

Units are available to wash and disinfect a chute manually or automatically. Manual control can be from the basement or mounted at the top of the chute behind a 15X15 ft access door.

AREA FOGGER:

Provides odor control by releasing odor-eating microbes into the air. The frequency and length of time are programmable.  It is used to keep the compactor room smelling fresh.

D&S  SYSTEM:

Disinfects and Sanitizes. Water is mixed with a cleaning solution and manually sprayed into the chute. Normally the unit is mounted behind a 15 x 15 inch access door at the top of the chute.

WASHDOWN

MANUAL START – AUTO WASH

The control is included in the chute power controller thus purchasing and mounting a separate controller is not required. The washdown is started manually but the length of the wash is controller by an adjustable timer. Floor doors are prevented from opening during the wash cycle.

AUTO WASHDOWN

The start time, days of the week and the length of the cycle are all programmable.  The program includes a pre-rinse and a soak cycle.  The unit can control spray heads at several floors to optimize wash efficiency.

SINGLE SWITCH AND 2 SWITCH WASHDOWN

each of these controls allow the cleaning to be controlled from the basement.  They provides a means to lock out the chute doors during cleaning.  A single switch controller dispenses water as long as the switch is closed. The two switch allows a pre-rinse, followed by a mixture of water and cleaning solution.  This allows more of the cleaning solution to remain in the chute.

Fire

Fire and smoke detectors are designed to protect the chute.  They are not intended to replace a building fire control system.
When interfaced with the door controls, they can lock all door floor doors in the event of a fire.
When interfaced with an “A” door at the bottom of the chute, sealing the Chute shaft.

HEAT DETECTION

is normally at the top of the chute.  It will trip when it sees a temperature above 135 degrees.

The detector will also trip on a rapid rise in temperature of 15 degrees in less than a minute.

The device includes a Plug & Play cable to the last floor.  It self-destructs when tripped, locking all floor doors.

SMOKE DETECTION

is normally located near the ceiling in the discharge room.  The device includes a 5 foot, PLUG & Play cable to connect to the floor power supply.

The device can sense visible as well as invisible combustion products.

When tripped the device will lock all floor doors.  Tripping does not destroy the unit.

MAGNETIC DOOR LATCH

this device mounts to a “A” door located at the bottom of the chute.  The “A” door is designed to seal the chute in the case of fire.

The device is reusable, but It requires either a heat or smoke detector to trigger,

A heat or smoke can then be used to lock the floor doors

ETL

is a thermo device which is attached to an “A” door located in the discharge room.  It self distructs when tripped, closing the “A” door, sealing the chute.

It must be used with either a heat or smoke detector which can then be used to lock the floor doors.
