Compactors

CP1/CP2 Compactor

The CP1/CP2 compactor is designed for a heated facility. It is normally positioned in a multiple story building under a metal refuse chute. It includes a UL 508 labeled controller, PLC control with alarm annunciation and offers the greatest number of options.

CP1 compactors are 6 feet long – constructed from ¼” steel plate.  It has a single 4” bore cylinder and a 5 HP hydraulic pump.

CP2 model is 4 feet long – constructed from ¼” steel plate. It has twin 3” bore cylinders and a 5 HP hydraulic pump.

CP1/CP2 compactors have low oil level and over temperature protection, an alarm strobe, and a text display. A photo eye is used to detect trash levels.  The eye is polarized to sense white materials. The alarm display identifies 10 different alarms or warnings.  Chute Source compactors are equipped to detect a dirty photo or an out of alignment reflector to prevent continuous running.

Overpacking protection prevents the compactor from exceeding the high pressure set point while running in manual thus protecting the trash container. The access door switch carries an IEC safety rating and prevents the compactor from operating when the door is in the open position. It requires a special door interlock key to activate the compactor.

The compactors can be interfaced with the chute controls so that in the event of a compactor fault, the floor intake doors will be locked, preventing trash built up in the chute.

EZ Compactor

An EZ compactor is designed for use in a heated indoor facility. It saves floor space since the hydraulic unit is mounted on the compactor. Installation is EZ because it is not necessary to connect hydraulic hoses or an electrical umbilical. The operation is simplified by replacing the PLC with industrial control switches and lights.

The EZ COMPACTOR is 4 feet long – constructed from ¼” steel plate. It has twin 3” bore cylinders and a 5 HP hydraulic pump. It has oil level and temperature protection. It has an alarm strobe and a text display that identifies 8 different alarms and warnings. PLC functions have been replaced with industrial switches and lights.

The EZ program software can be updated in the field with a mini SD card. Compactors have low oil level and over temperature protection, an alarm strobe, and a text display. EZ Extruder

EZ EXTRUDER is designed for use in a heated indoor facility. It provides a means to collect trash in an area that cannot be accessed with a metal trash container. Trash is extruded into a bag. The control is simplified by utilizing switches and alarm lights. The extruder is 6 feet long constructed from ¼” steel plate. It has a single 5” bore Cylinder and a 5HP pump.

The software can be updated in the field with a MINI SD card.

e protection will detect a dirty photo eye or a reflector out of alignment to prevent continuous running.  Ram jam protection checks travel in both directions.  Industrial lights and switches are used in place of the PLC for EZ operation.
